We're back!!

It's been awhile since we did an update cause we've been super busy preparing classrooms, buying materials and getting ready, butttt..... we're back!

What's New at the Studio?

The studio doors have been thrown open, and we're back in our spiritual home!

We are so happy to be back on campus after the summer, and even happier to say that students can now access the campus 9-5, 5 days a week!

The sense of community has really kicked off this year, and we're back to having first, second and third years mixing together, inspiring each other and hanging out. It really is a sight for sore eyes!

With some Covid restrictions being changed, our usual layout has returned, letting students work together in our central studio space, at their own individual desk. This really is the hub of our course, and seeing it busy with students hard at work makes the weeks of moving benches and organising totally worth it!

Students also really enjoyed a chance to come into our studio during Induction Week to hang out and even play some classic Cards Against Humanity. What better way to make friends than some rude, and pretty disgusting, jokes?!

Class Trips Are Back Too!

As much as we love the studio, we also love getting out and about to explore, something alot of our students haven't had chance to do.

First years have been setting off to museums around Greater Manchester as part of their Design module, and Second years had the pleasure of travelling to Chester Zoo for some primary research for their Advanced Realisation Module... some third years even tagged along too.

In other exciting news, we're also in the middle of prepping for our first event in 18 months, so keep a look out for updates on where we're setting off to in November.

It's been a cracking start to the first semester of this academic year and we cannot wait to see what the next few months bring. I think I can speak for all the staff when I say how genuinely heart warming it is to finally have our course back to some kind of normality. See you soon for more updates :)
